Cute puppies for sale? Don’t be fooled

SCAMwatch issued a radar alert warning consumers about classified ads offering non-existent pedigree puppies for sale. If you are in the market for a new puppy, you should be extra careful - the ads have resurfaced in local newspapers across the country, as well as online classifieds.

 

Once again, scammers are offering 'registered' puppies for sale at too-good-to-be-true prices.

Support a Pup

adoptmet It's easy to help a homeless dog this month – just log on!

 

 Pedigree and PetRescue have joined forces to raise awareness for pet adoption and help feed homeless 

 dogs. Every year, more than 100,000 dogs are euthanased in Australia, simply because many 

 Australians aren’t aware they need homes.

 

 The Pedigree Adoption Drive, which runs from 31 July until 8 October, aims to find homes for at least

 6000 dogs and raise $125,000. All proceeds will go to PetRescue, an animal rescue organisation that

 has saved over 75,000 homeless animals.
