Sporting committee meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7.30 pm, Amenities Building, Bill Spilstead Complex For Canine Affairs, Luddenham Road, Erskine Park.

Sporting committee mission statement:

  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors in regard to the promotion, organisation and conduct of:

    • ANKC Herding, including Herding Training at the Complex, ANKC Herding Trials/Tests.

  • Earthdog Training at the Complex, ANKC Earthdog Tests.
  • Allocate and amend dates for Herding Trial/Tests and Earthdog Tests.
  • Allocate and amend dates for Herding and Earthdog Training.
  • Monitor Herding and Earthdog Tests/Trials to ensure they comply with ANKC Rules & Regulations.
  • Consider reports of Trial/Test Representatives. Refer incidents reported at Trial/Tests by the Representative to the Secretary, Board or affiliate concerned as appropriate.
  • Provide advice and guidance to affiliates on Trial/Tests Regulations and any other matters related to ANKC Herding or Earthdog Testing.
  • Organize the education and training of Judges for Herding & Earthdog Testing.
  • Make submission to the ANKC in regard to rule changes as required.

 

Herding Training:


Herding training is held at Dogs NSW grounds on Luddenham Rd Erskine Park, Saturday herding training is held every Saturday accept 1st Saturday by Sporting Committee, all that is required is that you are a member of Dogs NSW.

 

Training times on Saturday for beginners is 9am until midday weather permitting. No training between midday and 1pm for advance handler and dogs .


1st Saturday of every month is held by NSW Herding Association to which you must be a member to train on this day.


Sunday training is held on Sunday by Australian Stock Dog Club form 9am until 3pm.

 

You are required to be a member of this club to train on Sundays.
