DOGS NSW 2011 STATE JUNIOR HANDLER FINALS
Well another exciting Dogs NSW State Junior Handler Finals has been run and won, so congratulations to all the juniors who competed on the day and did our state proud! We enjoyed wonderful weather on the day with the sun shining bright and the weather warming up just enough to make the day pleasant. The state finals were, as usual, held in conjunction with the Junior Kennel Club of NSW Championship Show, which also boasted a large entry. This meant that there were a lot of things to coordinate during the day. Luckily the finals ran smoothly thanks to the help of the Committee and Junior Handler Working Party members present.
Our judge this year was Clare Tyler from Victoria, and we thank her for giving up her time and expertise to judge this event. She had 35 talented youngsters to sort through, handling a variety of breeds from Irish Wolfhounds and Border Collies through to a Chihuahuas and Dachshunds.
The results of the day were as follows:
7 to under 10 AGE GROUP 1st Place: Taylah Rattray - Bedlington Terrier, English Setter (swap) 2nd Place: Liam Robertson - PBGV, German Pincher (swap) 3rd Place: Georgia Wilson - Corgi (Pembroke), Basset Hound (swap)
