GetReadyWeekend 2

Are you and your pets ready for the fire season? With 80% of New South Wales covered by grasslands, the warmer months ahead bring an increased risk of fires and threaten the lives of humans and their animals.

Dogs NSW, is urging dog owners to attend their local NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Get Ready Weekend event this weekend (Sept 16 & 17) to prepare themselves, their properties and their pets for the fire season.

Dog with bookNow, in the supposed information era, there is much mis-information about dogs, and yet there is so much to learn.

“While ever I work with dogs I learn something new about them – everyday!” Dr Robert Zammit.

Consequently, we have embarked on the presentation of a series of seminars, gathering experts in the field of canine science, be it behaviour, nutrition, reproduction, genetics and the host of other headings under the husbandry and science of this species.

MANILDRA Show Definitely On

Recently the Manildra Show to be held on the 2nd September at Manildra Showgrounds was cancelled, as it was thought by the Society that there was no one to run the dog section. After intervention from Dogs NSW, a new dog section organiser has been found and the show is now open for entries again. If you were one of the few that had entered the original show you would have had your original entry fees refunded to the card you used for the payment, so you will need to re-enter the show. Entries are now only $10, and $6 for Babies & Sweepstakes.
