The Sydney Dog Lovers Show is a fabulous event on the August calendar, which Dogs NSW supports every year.
As Dogs NSW and its members work closely with the organisers, they have kindly permitted Dogs NSW an extra stand, 'Ask the Breeder,' in order to promote our breeders and their purebred dogs.
The stand will be in close proximity to the Dogs NSW Information stand, however, we do need Dogs NSW members/ breeders and their dogs to come to the stand and talk to the attending public about their breed and the benefits of purchasing a purebred puppy through a Dogs NSW member.
Talks will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes and should cover your own experience as a breeder, a brief description of your breed, including temperament, training and care requirements; what you provide in ongoing care, questions to ask a breeder and what you ask of them. At the conclusion, if there is time left over you can take questions as well as meet the breed sessions with your dog. Should you wish to do so, you can also bring along your own business cards or your breed club's details as handouts. We also ask that anyone who is speaking with the public, to please have their dog with them. A judging table will be provided for your dog to stand on.
A microphone will be available for speakers and chairs provided for the public. Dogs NSW will be decorating the stand and providing extra hand out material for prospective puppy buyers and each speaker will also be provided with an 'Ask the Breeder" badge to wear on the day.
We are asking for any breeders, who are already in attendance over the two day period, or other members who would like to be part of this, to contact Kerry Christofi at Dogs NSW on 9834 0217, so a timetable of speakers can be organised over the two days. This is also an opportunity for members with rarer breeds, or those members who wish to attend, but do not have the assistance to man a stand over the two days, to come forward and promote your breed.
