Some members of Dogs NSW have become aware of a complaint lodged recently by an  Affiliated Club which alleged possible breaches of Show Regulations by Members of Dogs NSW.

The Board of Directors regarded this matter very seriously and considered conducting their own inquiry into the matter in accordance with the Articles of Association. Before proceeding, the circumstances of the case and relevant considerations made it prudent to obtain legal advice.

The advice received is reproduced in the PDF attachment with all references which identify persons, clubs or dogs being removed for reasons of privacy. Adobe_Download

In consequence of this advice, at its September meeting, the Board of Directors determined that it was unable to proceed with an inquiry and resolved instead to write to the persons concerned.

Most importantly the Board of Directors determined to amend its Complaints Policy Document in such a way that it is no longer “Policy” but rather ONLY a Complaints Procedure Document which will assist the Dogs NSW administration in processing complaints received.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING FORMER POLICY CLAUSE HAS BEEN TOTALLY REMOVED FROM THE COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE DOCUMENT AND ACCORDINGLY CAN NO LONGER BE RELIED UPON.

2. Dogs NSW will not deal with complaints in relation to comments made by an email

or on a chat line..."

The Procedure Document will be published in the next available Dogs NSW Gazette.
