The NSW Government is calling for applications from enthusiastic people to be part of the highly successful Responsible Pet Ownership Program.

Pet Educators and their dogs will visit schools and pre-schools throughout NSW teaching children about dog safety and responsible pet ownership. If you enjoy working with children, own a friendly, well socialized dog that lives with you, we would love to hear from you.

Pet Educators must

• Own a fit and healthy dog between the ages of 1-8

• Have a current drivers licence and own a reliable car

• Be available a minimum of 2 days per week

• Undergo a Working With Children’s Check

• Dogs must pass a suitability test

 

We are in need of Educators throughout NSW but particularly in the following regions;

• Metro –Blue Mountains. Ku-ring-gai, Pittwater, Willoughby, Randwick, Botany, Kogarah, Sutherland

• Northern – Tweed, Lismore, Taree, Newcastle, Cessnock, Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell, Coffs Harbour

• Southern – Young, Goulburn, Bega

• Western – Bourke, Broken Hill, Cobar, Dubbo, Bathurst, Parkes, Forbes

 

Applicants need to be available for testing on either Sept. 16 at Castle Hill or Sept 17 at Hillsborough (Newcastle).

Successful applicants will need to be available to attend training in Sydney on Oct 7,8 &9 2014
