The day’s program will be packed full of food, music, entertainment and activities for fur residents and their human companions to enjoy.

All pets attending this event must be on-leash. A special off-leash area will be provided for pups to run-free!

Posh pooches will be putting their best paw forward for a chance to win the title of ‘Best Dressed Doggie’.

Just one of several competitions being held at the dogs’ day out in Bradfield Park on Sunday 27 May, prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the ‘Doggie & Owner Look-a-like Comp’ and for the ‘Best Doggie Trick’.

There will also be several dog demonstrations throughout the day, including displays from “Australia’s most experienced trainer” Steve Austin. Other demonstrations include Agility with the Manly and District Kennel and Dog Training Club and Flyball with the Sydney Psychos Flyball Team.

North Sydney Mayor Jilly Gibson said that Bradfield Bark was a great community event for all dog lovers. “Bradfield Bark celebrates the contribution our four-legged friends make to our community and acknowledges the health and social benefits of having a dog as part of the family.

“Whether they own a dog or not, all are welcome to attend and enjoy the demonstrations, talks and food stalls, live music and children’s activities.

“We’ll also be fundraising for our charity partner, the Sydney Cats and Dogs Home – Sydney’s only not-for-profit pound.”

All pets attending the event must be on-leash but a special off-leash area will be provided for dogs to run free on the day.
