Amendment to DOGS NSW Regulations

Please note the amendments to the following DOGS NSW Regulations from the recent Board meeting:-

Part V-Judges  Clauses  4.2(a), 4.3 & 4.7

DOGS NSW Regulations Part IV-Judges

THAT DOGS NSW Regulations Part IV-Judges, Section 4: Judging Appointments – Judging at Recognised Shows, Clauses 4.2(a) & 4.3, which currently reads:-

4.2(a)     Judge the same Breed or Breeds or Classes of the same Breed or Breeds of dogs at another Show held in NSW within 200 kilometres by the shortest road of the first mentioned Show sooner than three (3) months thereafter. (The distance reference to be taken from www.travelmate.com.au).  This Regulation does not apply in the case of a person who has been appointed as an Emergency Judge. (12/17)

4.3          A Judge may not judge General Specials at any All Breeds Show being held in the Metropolitan Region or in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie or Wollongong & Shellharbour Local Government Areas of NSW, sooner than three (3) months after having done so at another show held within 200 kilometres, by the shortest road, of that subsequent show. (The distance reference to be taken from www.travelmate.com.au) or otherwise with the prior written consent of the Board of Directors.  (02/16)(05/17)

Be amended to read:

DOGS NSW Regulations Part IV-Judges, Section 4: Judging Appointments, Clause 4.7

THAT DOGS NSW Regulations Part IV-Judges, Section 4: Judging Appointments - Judging at Recognised Shows, Clause 4.7 which currently reads:-

At the conclusion of the judging of each Class the Judge shall make his awards in a clear and decisive fashion and must personally hand out ribbons in respect of Challenge, Reserve Challenge, Best of Breed and Runner Up to Best of Breed to the winning exhibits and record the same in the Judges Book. Such decision shall be final and binding on the exhibitors unless an exhibit given an award is or should have been disqualified by the Show Committee. (08/92)

Be amended to read:

At the conclusion of the judging of each Class the Judge shall make his awards in a clear and decisive fashion in respect of the winning exhibits and record the same in the Judges Book.  Such decision shall be final and binding on the exhibitors unless an exhibit given an award is or should have been disqualified by the Show Committee. (02/19)


Part X-Affiliated Bodies:   Clauses 1.3(b)(ii)(a)&(b)

DOGS NSW Regulations, Part X – Affiliated Bodies, Section 1: Admission of Affiliated Bodies, Clause 1.3(b)

THAT DOGS NSW Regulations, Part X – Affiliated Bodies, Section 1: Admission of Affiliated Bodies, Clause 1.3(b), which currently reads

1.3       An applicant for Affiliation or Associate Affiliation shall not be admitted as an Affiliate or an Associate Affiliate unless:-

(b)    being a club:

(ii)     In respect of an All Breeds Club or General Dog Club, has at least 30 financial members of which:-

(a)    at least 15 of those 30 members are financial members of DOGS NSW and

(b)    those 15 financial members of DOGS NSW own a dog registered on an ANKC Ltd National Register. (07/16)

(iii)    Deleted. (06/05)

Be amended to read:-

1.3       An applicant for Affiliation or Associate Affiliation shall not be admitted as an Affiliate or an Associate Affiliate unless:-
