On Friday, February 8, the NSW Premier, The Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP together with Local Member for Mulgoa, The Hon.Tanya Davies MP announced $220 million to upgrade the first stage of Mamre Road!
Last year Tanya Davies called on the Federal Government, with a petition that had over 2000 signatures, to urgently upgrade Mamre Road.
“Every day that Mamre Road is not upgraded more lives are at risk. Today I am proud to announce that through our advocacy the NSW Government will step in and upgrade Mamre Road.” Tanya Davies announced.
“This announcement will see the first stage of Mamre Road upgraded between the M4 and Erskine Park Road, which means Solander Dr, Luddenham Road and McIntyre Avenue will be upgraded, so people from St Clair can safely turn on to Mamre Road!”
“This is a huge win for our community! I couldn’t have done it without you all!”
Up to 65,000 Western Sydney road users a day will benefit from upgrades to Mamre and Mulgoa roads, reducing congestion and increasing safety.
The $480 million investment by the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government will slash travel times and improve safety for motorists.
