Stewards & Representatives Working Party

The Working Party meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every second month at 7.30pm in the Amenities Building, The Bill Spilstead Complex for Canine Affairs, 44 Luddenham Road, Orchard Hills.

Working Party Mission Statement

To train members of DOGS NSW who wish to act as conformation Stewards at shows within NSW so as to have consistency in stewarding standards and to review and observe stewarding standards in accordance with the requirements of DOGS NSW.

Working Party Responsibilities

  • Consider and report on matters referred to the Working Party by the Board of Directors of DOGS NSW
  • Consider Show Representative Reports.
  • Refer items of concern reported in the Show Representative Reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters affecting the smooth running of Shows.
  • Make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding Stewards Regulations.
  • Monitor the performance and conduct of Stewards to ensure that they conduct themselves in accordance with the Regulations. Offer assistance and guidance to Stewards in the performance of their duties and the interpretation of procedures.
  • Conduct training courses for Aspiring Stewards in accordance with the syllabus as determined by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Stewards & Representatives Working Party.
  • Make recommendations to the Secretary regarding additions to or deletions from the Stewards List.
