Act Now to Protect Our Rights: Send a Letter to Parliament
DOGS NSW needs your support more than ever! Our beloved hobby, which has brought joy and companionship for decades, is at risk. It’s crucial that we take action to ensure our voices are heard regarding the Companion Animals Amendment Bill (Puppy Farms) 2024.
Why Your Voice Matters:
"If Members do TOO LITTLE we could lose our rights to continue in our hobby the way we have done for decades," says DOGS NSW President Lyn Brand. The future of our community depends on us taking a stand.
What You Can Do:
We urge all members to email their State MPs about the Emma Hurst Puppy Farms Bill. It’s essential to highlight the 20 key items we’ve identified to help MPs understand the impact these amendments will have on DOGS NSW members.
Why It's Urgent:
Over the past few weeks, our Media & Government Legislation Committee has been working tirelessly, engaging with key Parliamentarians and voicing our concerns. We've already received positive responses from major parties and key Independents, and we’ve had productive meetings with the Minister for Local Government and the Minister for Agriculture.
Now, we need every member to join this effort by contacting their MP. Your individual letters will significantly bolster our campaign. Remember, personalised letters carry much more weight than copied and pasted messages.
How to Get Started:
Let’s Make a Difference Together!
We’ve already seen a positive response from Parliament, but we need to keep the momentum going. Every letter counts and your participation is vital. Together, we can protect our rights and continue our cherished hobby.
