DOGS NSW Regulation Updated - Rescinded

THAT the resolutions of the Board under Item 3.7.8 of the March 2024 Board meeting, listed below, be RESCINDED and the matter be referred to the April 2024 Board meeting for further consideration.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

3.7.8        Recommendation 8 – Item 1.8:  Judges Contracts – Double Signing

THAT Recommendations 8A, 8B & 8C, which read as follows, be approved:-

 

3.7.8.1    Recommendation 8A

THAT the following new Clause be added to DOGS NSW Regulations as indicated:-

  • Part IV-Judges – suggested new Clause 4.2(c) & 4.3(c)
  • Part V-NSR FT Judges – suggested new Clause 6.1(a)(v)
  • Part VI-Judges-Performance Disciplines – suggested new Clause 4.2(a)(vii)

 

THAT a penalty regime for all disciplines be imposed as follows:-

1ST Offence              WARNING

2ND Offence             $200.00 fine

3RD Offence             $500.00 fine

for all disciplines for Judges signing contracts that they are not eligible to judge at shows and events in accordance with DOGS NSW Regulations regarding time and distance, effective 1st January 2024, and further, the Judge be responsible for the costs incurred by the relevant Clubs.

 

3.7.8.2    Recommendation 8B

THAT DOGS NSW Regulations Part V-NSR FT Judges be amended by inclusion of a new Clause, numbered 5.12, as follows:-

 

5.12   A Judge who has judged an exhibit at a Trial recognised by any Member Body of Dogs Australia shall not, without the prior written consent of the Board of Directors:-

 

  • Judge the same exhibit at another Trial held in NSW within 250 kilometres by the shortest road of the first mentioned Trial sooner than four (4) months thereafter. (The distance reference to be taken from https://www.google.com/maps). This Regulation applies to Judges Contracts received by the Office of DOGS NSW after 1 July 2020 and does not apply in the case of a person who has been appointed as an Emergency Judge. (02/21)

 

(b)       handle an exhibit that he/she has judged at another Trial held within 6 months of the last date of the first mentioned Trial; except in such case as the exhibit has been purchased or leased by the Judge after the said appointment and the transfer to the Judge as owner or part-owner has been duly registered in the Register prior to the commencement day of such Trial.  (07/11)

 

3.7.8.3    Recommendation 8C

THAT DOGS NSW Regulations Part VI-Judges-Performance Disciplines be amended by inclusion of a new Clause, numbered 4.1, as follows:-

 

4.1      A Judge who has judged an exhibit at a Trial recognised by any Member Body of Dogs Australia shall not, without the prior written consent of the Board of Directors:-
