DOGS NSW Urges Members to ACT NOW ~ Re: Puppy Farms Bill!
09-07-2024
"If Members do TOO LITTLE we could lose our rights to continue in our hobby, the way have done for decades," says DOGS NSW President Lyn Brand.

It is URGENT that members email their State MPs regarding the Companion Animals Amendment Bill (Puppy Farms) 2024, listing the 20 items that we set out and to make it simple for the MPs to realise how these amendments will affect DOGS NSW members (see link below).

DOGS NSW Office has been receiving enquiries from members concerning the Emma Hurst Puppy Farms Bill. Be assured your Media & Government Legislation Committee is actioning members' concerns.

Over the past few weeks, the Media & Government Legislation Committee has been engaging with key Parliamentarians.

The campaign started with a letter to all Members of Parliament, setting out DOGS NSW concerns about the probable consequences of the Bill.

A positive response has been received from both main Parties and key Independents. A meeting has already taken place with the Minister for Local Government and we have also been invited to meet with the Minister for Agriculture. In addition, we are providing information to other Politicians who are intending to speak against the Bill.

It is imperative that all members contact their MP and voice their own concerns. DOGS NSW encourages all members to use the facts contained within the two documents provided in the link below.  DO NOT COPY AND PASTE, it must be individually written as it will carry more weight.

The time to act is now!
