This Trial will be conducted under the Rules for the conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs as approved by the Australian National Kennel Council (effective from 1 January 2025).

This club reserves the right to appoint a substitute judge if required.
Judging Commences: ASAP after Check-In and at the discretion of the Trial Committee
Entry Fees: $70 per dog, late entries will not be accepted
Sashes/Trophies: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places. A full trophy list will be in the catalogue.

DRAW: A draw to determine the running order will be held on Wednesday 9 September 2026 at 12.30 pm at the Ringwood Hotel in Cressy. Counter meals will be available.
CONDITION OF ENTRY: Championship Stake is a Stake confined to Gundogs (as approved by the ANKC) that have been placed first in a Restricted Stake or first, second or third in an All Age Stake or have the title All Age Retrieving Dog (AARD). A National Championship Stake shall consist of no less than eight (8) Runs with at least seventeen (17) items of game retrieved. At least two (2) Blind Find Retrieves are to be included and a dog must be tested for steadiness from behind a Hide on at least two (2) occasions.
Evidence of eligibility to compete in a Championship Stake must be supplied for all dogs entered that are not RT Ch, RRD, AARD.

Under Tasmanian State Law, the Gun Licence must be carried at all times whilst handling the gun. Trial venues are private property and must not be revisited at any time after the Trial.
Bitches in oestrum will not be permitted to compete or enter the trial site. They may be on the property but not in the vicinity of the Trial Site or area of the runs.
ALL DOGS on the trial site must be on a lead at all times (except when competing or being exercised), the lead must be held in the hand or the dog tethered.
PROTESTS: A protest committee will be appointed to deal with any official, written protests received during the Trial. Any protest must be received in writing on the day of the Trial and include the reason for the protest and be accompanied by $100. If a protest is upheld the money will be refunded.
